
KATHLEEN MURRAY is Dean of the Conservatory and Professor of Music at Lawrence University, Appleton, Wisconsin, where she teaches studio piano and piano pedagogy. She holds degrees from Northwestern University, Bowling Green State University, and Illinois Wesleyan University. Dr. Murray has appeared as soloist and chamber musician in recitals throughout the midwest, including performances at the Ravinia Summer Music Festival and on Wisconsin Public Radio's "Live from the Elvehjem" series. She is featured on LUPE, a CD recorded by the Lawrence University Percussion Ensemble and on a CD recorded live during the 1997 Martin Luther King Day Concert, released last year on the CRI label. Dr. Murray is a frequent adjudicator and clinician, and an Associate Editor for Keyboard Companion magazine. She has contributed articles to Keyboard Companion and Piano & Keyboard magazines, and to the Proceedings and Reference of the National Conference on Piano Pedagogy. She is the president of the East Central Division of the Music Teachers National Association.
